TIPS FOR FILMING YOUR AUDITION
-
Ask your parent to help you record your audition.
-
Use a smart phone or tablet to record.
-
Make sure you have sufficient light to see your face on camera
-
Make sure you are in focus and that your facial expression is able to be seen on camera. Don't zoom out too far, but don't make it a major close up either!
-
Say your name clearly at the start of your audition. (example: "Hello! My name is Lisa Elzey."
-
Say the name of your poem or monologue (example: "I will be performing "Where the Sidewalk Ends" by Shel Silverstein.)
-
When you are done with your poem or monologue say, "Thank you." and end the filming.
-
Upload directly from the smart phone to your parent's YouTube account.
-
Make the video "unlisted" (see instructions above).
-
Paste the link to the video in your audition form.
-
You're done! Congratulations!
