Prepare a 30 second to 60 second poem or monologue. Memorization is not required but preferred.

To start the video, please say your name and the title of the piece you are sharing with us.

Once you have recorded your video audition, upload it to a parent's YouTube account (accounts are free).

Make the video an "unlisted" video. This means only those that have the link to the video can see it.

Go to THIS LINK to fill out the audition form.

Cut and paste the URL to your YouTube video into the Google Audition Form.

Submit the Audition Form!
HOW TO MAKE YOUR YOUTUBE VIDEO "UNLISTED"
To create an "Unlisted" link to your uploaded video on YouTube:

Sign into your YouTube Account.

Go to your My Videos page.
-
Select the video which you’d like to make an unlisted video. Click the Edit button to access the video’s settings.

Go to the Privacy section of the page. There you’ll see the option to mark your video as “unlisted”, “public”, or “private”. Select unlisted.

Don’t forget to click the Save Changes button. Once you’ve done this your video will be an unlisted video.
TIPS FOR FILMING YOUR AUDITION

Ask your parent to help you record your audition.

Use a smart phone or tablet to record.

Make sure you have sufficient light to see your face on camera

Make sure you are in focus and that your facial expression is able to be seen on camera. Don't zoom out too far, but don't make it a major close up either!

Say your name clearly at the start of your audition. (example: "Hello! My name is Lisa Elzey."

Say the name of your poem or monologue (example: "I will be performing "Where the Sidewalk Ends" by Shel Silverstein.)

When you are done with your poem or monologue say, "Thank you." and end the filming.

Upload directly from the smart phone to your parent's YouTube account.

Make the video "unlisted" (see instructions above).

Paste the link to the video in your audition form.

You're done! Congratulations!
